Software Engineer - Joined GUI development team.

Micromuse, Inc. (Apr 2001 - Sep 2004):
Systems Engineer - Provided pre-sales technical assistance to sales and marketing organizations. Duties included architecture overviews, product demos, on-customer-site proof of concept engagements, assisting with RFI/RFP responses, working trade shows, and providing "4th level" customer support when on-site presence was needed. Acted as "product champion" for products including Reporter, ISMs, Webtop, Portal, and Netcool for Security Management. Was core member of the corporate demo team (COED and NSS) and created the GA demo material for Webtop 1.2. Frequently called upon to prepare customized Webtop content including page design, CGI tools, and dynamic maps with WAAPI. Also conducted customer and employee training and proctored certification exams.

Advancia Corporation (May 2000 - Mar 2001):
Manager, Information Assurance - Consulted in areas of network, communications, applications, operational, and computer security. Conducted remote intrusion detection monitoring services and provided emergency response/recovery support to customers. Assisted with e-commerce and other web projects in design and implementation.

Sr. Network Engineer/Co-owner - Managed company staff. Consulted on Internet connectivity, LAN/WAN network design, multi-platform integration, and network/host security. Lead or participated in projects involving CGI and middleware database access, automated e-mail processing, host monitoring and alerting, migrating NT & Novell networks to Linux, and intra/extra-net design and hosting. Administered company networks and servers (all Internet-related services, all Linux based). Consulted for MIT Lab for Nuclear Science in multi-user Linux client deployment. Consulted in areas of host and network security and compromise recovery.

BTG, Inc. (Oct 1996 - Aug 1998):
Sr. Network Administrator - Responsible for the BTG, OKC office LAN and WAN - managed all DNS, routing, mail, security, and other network services. Worked on-site at FAA as a member of the AVR Central Domain Administration in charge of wide area network trouble-shooting. Co-author of successful agency-wide private/internal DNS design proposal. Consulted on FAA facility network security. Developed graphical monitoring web site to show status of ~350 servers nation-wide.

Consultant - Consulted on configuration and administration of LANs, stand-alone systems, and Internet connectivity. Developed e-mail based forms processing software. Freelanced in engineering CAD work.
